Easy Corner Villas

I’m writing this to warn future medical students and tourists: avoid this place. These 18 months were a living hell. If you aren’t local, they’ll charge you more than the local rental price. I had to stay for one and a half years because I’m a medical student and couldn’t relocate whenever I wanted. Electricity was extremely expensive, and they charged me more than local people pay. I paid $900 a month for a small place, plus $120 U.S. cash only for gas and usually $200-400 U.S. a month for electricity. The service was terrible for those U.S.-level prices. Laundry would stop working, ants were everywhere, and when I had a mouse, nothing was done. My toilet clogged, and the landlord only gave me directions for fixing it instead of sending someone. At least a housemaid cleaned my place once a week. GINA, the building manager, was crazy disrespectful. Whenever I called about basic issues, such as the electricity overcharge, she yelled at me over the phone. She only acted properly after I contacted the actual building owners. Do not come here. Avoid it at all costs.

Lisa was amazing when we had to quarantine. On our first night, she arranged food and some provisions for us. The apartment itself was clean and tidy, with a well-equipped kitchen and a great balcony for relaxing. It also made a good base for exploring Anguilla.

Everything else was okay, but the cooling could have been better. The kitchen a.c. wasn’t working well, although the fan kept it somewhat cool. In the bedroom, the a.c. cooled the room without making it cold, and the fan above the bed was stuck on slow speed because there was no pull string to turn it up. As a result, the room took longer to cool down.

Our unit looked out over Sandy Grounds and was very quiet, exactly what we needed. It was clean, up to date, and had a fully functioning kitchen. We also got a car from them. This is going to become an annual getaway for us.
