The oceanfront villa was exactly what we hoped for, with beautiful grounds, a spectacular beach, and a smooth, friendly check-in. The staff answered all our questions and were consistently helpful. I've heard that this area is the best for avoiding sargassum, and thankfully there was none during our stay. My husband and I loved the property and would gladly return.

The staff here are incredibly caring, and the location is on one of the world's best beaches. You could spend three times as much at a fancy resort and still have to drive to Shoal Bay to reach the best beaches. It's hard to say enough good things about this place.

Our one-bedroom apartment at Shoal Bay Villas was spacious, comfortable, very clean, and well equipped, with a full kitchen and bath. We couldn't reserve a beachfront condo in time, but we still had a pleasant view of the water through the vestibule of the building ahead of us. The staff were warm and welcoming, always smiling, helpful, and gracious. We especially appreciated the reserved Palapas. There was no need to get up early and claim loungers with towels or books, which made the whole stay more relaxed. Since we visited the week after new years, the resort and beach were uncrowded as well. This is a resort I'd happily recommend, and I plan to return.

I celebrated my 40th birthday at Shoal Bay Villas, and my family and friends are still talking about how beautiful the place was. The Haskins family were wonderful hosts, going out of their way to make everything easy and enjoyable. The self contained villas are full of bright Caribbean colour and sit directly on one of the most amazing beaches in the world. Shoal Bay itself is stunning and peaceful. I can't decide whether the sunrise or sunset is better, but either one makes this a perfect place for a relaxing stay. Thanks, SBV, for such an epic time.
