The family running this place is genuinely friendly, and the prices are fair for what you get. It’s right in the center, has air conditioning, and some rooms even have terrace space for drying laundry. There’s no lift, although the stairs are broad enough for luggage. A few details look tired, especially the shower drain, but the building’s original foundations are solid. It feels like a long-established family place rather than one of the newer old-town hotels. For the price and facilities, I think it deserves more than the two stars shown on Google, probably three.

The setting in Theth is beautiful, on a hill above the famous church with great mountain views. I especially enjoyed the garden, the host’s dinners, and all the animals wandering around. It was calm and quiet, the room was cozy, and the host was very welcoming. He shared interesting local information and really made an effort to keep me comfortable.

A very convenient city-center base for sleeping and touring, with a low price to match. Restaurants, minimarts, ATMs, and the bus stop are all close by, and buses pass on both sides of the hotel every 15-30 minutes toward Tiranë and elsewhere. The manager was friendly and spoke English well. My spring stay was cool, but the wall A/C didn’t work, so summer could be uncomfortable. Street noise and barking dogs come through because there’s little insulation. Breakfast begins at 08:00, which matters if you have an early tour, and for the extra five euros it was just a hard-boiled egg, bread, orange juice, and coffee or tea.

The room was simple but included everything we needed, even a fridge. A fuller pillow would’ve been better, though it didn’t bother the other guest. Breakfast with the view was excellent, and the host gave good guidance while being attentive without hovering. Very friendly and incredibly hospitable. I’d stay here again.
