The hotel is close to the historical center, just a short walk away, and the rooms are quite nice. Breakfast was very good and offered many choices. The staff were sweet, especially the girls at reception, who helped us a lot with parking the car. Our only problem was the shower, which splashed water everywhere because there was no enclosed cabin. We noticed this seems to be common in Albania.

The location was convenient, and the friendly staff, especially the housekeeper, were a positive part of the stay. The continental breakfast also had some tasty choices. Unfortunately, the shower sent water everywhere regardless of what we tried, and the bathroom smelled strongly of sewage. The key was difficult to use with the front door, the TV didn’t work, and having no elevator was inconvenient. The room was tiny, although that isn’t unusual in Albania. We’d choose another hotel if we return to Berat.

Hotel Gega was in an amazing location, and the breakfast was very good. What impressed us most was the team, who were incredibly helpful, kind, and attentive to details. Special thanks to Sibora and Rei, and Bledi and Liria, they were all amazing. I loved Berat and my stay here! 🤩🙏🤗

A clean hotel with friendly staff and a good price-to-quality ratio. It’s near the center and very close to the old town, with free parking available in front of the hotel. The location is great.

I don’t recommend this hotel at all because the service was absolutely terrible. The owner was extremely rude to my father, and as American tourists, we felt the way she handled our situation was rude. Anyone coming to the hotel should be careful.
