The view from this beautifully kept guesthouse is absolutely spectacular, and the garden has a lovely restaurant where you can relax. Lorenc warmly showed us around and shared the history of the house. Everything felt calm and welcoming, with a genuinely friendly host. If you're staying in Berat, Lorenc guesthouse is well worth checking out.

I had a fantastic stay at Lorenc Guesthouse & Hostel, especially because it felt personal and culturally immersive. The breakfast is cooked by Lorenc and served in the living room of his home, and he makes you feel like you're staying with family. It helps to know what kind of place this is. It's really a guesthouse using spare bedrooms in Lorenc's house, rather than a traditional hostel with front desk staff. In winter, Lorenc turns off the bedroom heating partway through the night to save on Albania's expensive electricity. I didn't mind because the bedding was very warm and it wasn't especially cold during my stay, but anyone sensitive to lower temperatures should keep it in mind. This won't matter in the warmer months.

Lorenc Guesthouse & Hostel is cozy, welcoming, and comfortable, with the amenities needed for an easy stay. The owners were friendly, helpful, and always ready to make sure everything went well. It works nicely for both individuals and groups. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area, whether the trip is for business or pleasure.

The garden was the nicest place to spend a quiet evening, and the river view from the rooms was lovely. Lorenc was very helpful, and buses and groceries were within a reasonable distance. Although there is another hostel right next door, Lorenc felt better to us because of the more Albanian home experience. Our stay was pleasant. The breakfast was fine, though nothing particularly special. Since it's a heritage building, there are a few steps to get to the room.

Lorenc spontaneously invited me into his guesthouse after seeing me walk past, even though I wasn't staying the night. The house and garden have a great old, authentic style and are kept perfectly clean and well maintained. The garden area was especially relaxing, and Lorenc was incredibly welcoming.
