Piccolo Grande Amore

The staff at this pleasant restaurant were friendly and spoke English. We ordered the €35 platter for two, including lamb baked in yoghurt. The sauce was good, though the lamb had a very strong flavor that won’t suit everyone. The other mezze tasted nice, but the portion was rather small. Local wine cost €10 for a litre. There are four flights of stairs to climb. It was an okay meal, but the mezze for two could be a little more generous.

The restaurant’s top-floor position gives it a lovely window view, which was the main highlight for me. Inside, the atmosphere was calm and pleasant, making it easy to enjoy a relaxed meal. The food was fresh and well prepared, and the service stayed kind, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit. It’s a very nice place to visit.

The vegetarian choices on the menu were a nice feature, but the rest of our lunch was disappointing. The restaurant was empty even though they insisted it was open, and the worker repeatedly disappeared for long stretches. Our silverware was filthy, and the roasted potatoes were almost raw. The service, cleanliness, and food all fell short. We later bought a pizza to take away from the woman downstairs. That service was messy too, although the pizza itself was affordable and tasty enough.

The food was tasty, including the pizza, fries, and meat prepared in Berat style. Still, the view through the window was my favorite part. ❤️
