Sanpietro Vacation Deluxe Villa

The apartment we received looked nothing like the online photos. We truly thought we had booked a villa with a private pool and outdoor space, but were given a basic apartment. Staff only explained after we complained that the pictured villa was reserved for guests who chose the “Luxury Villa” option, which had not been made clear during booking. The manager made things worse. She was rude, disrespectful, and aggressive, interrupted us, blamed us for the confusion, ignored some people in our group, and refused to hear our explanation that the website was misleading. Her proposed solution was simply to pay another €1000 for the villa in the photos. We had also confirmed before arriving that barbecue facilities were available because we planned to cook. There was no proper BBQ setup or equipment. Other missing items included a microwave, slippers, cleaning service, and a hairdryer, which took several requests. We were told basic coffee supplies cost extra as well. On the second day, the electricity was cut off fir few hours. We contacted reception Immediately, but it took them Over an hour to come. During the day, we paid to use facilities at different hotels, including a pool and private beach, just to receive decent customer service. At night we returned upset and disappointed to sleep in the apartment we felt we had been scammed into paying for. The holiday was stressful, misleading, and badly managed from beginning to end.

The location was a real highlight, just a short distance from the beach, and the Deluxe Villa was comfortable and kept in good condition. The staff were helpful too, and we had an amazing time across our 4 nights. There were two small problems. Water tended to flood the bathroom while it was being used, and the WiFi didn’t work at first. The WiFi was eventually fixed during our stay, though. We enjoyed the visit overall and would come back.

We were not choosing to cancel our reservation. We were refused accommodation on arrival because we had two small dogs, despite informing the property about them beforehand. They then said their policy allowed only one dog, and that dog could not enter the villa and had to remain outside in the garden. We had specifically booked a ground-floor villa with a garden for traveling with our dogs, so we had no choice but to leave. Even so, the property treated it as our cancellation and charged 50% of the total as a “cancellation fee.” We were denied the service we booked and still financially penalized for it. This did not feel genuinely pet-friendly or transparent. Customers should not be blamed and charged when the property itself refuses to provide the accommodation. Absolutely not recommended, so be very careful before booking.

The villa gave everyone plenty of privacy, with 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, and a big sallon. San Pietro Residence is in a quiet spot away from city noise, which made it easy to relax. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for a few days of vacation.
