We planned on staying one night and ended up staying four. The hostel is an old restored house, beautifully decorated, full of history, and spotlessly clean. The facilities felt more like a hotel, with a terrace, but Aleks made us feel at home with his warm welcome. He even brought us along to activities with his friends, and we cooked a three-course meal together in the evening. Best hostel we’ve ever stayed in. We’ll be back!

The view from this cozy, very cool place is great, though it sits uphill, so keep that in mind. It’s a really old family palace and cultural heritage building, and it’s fascinating to stay somewhere like that. The bathroom is shared, and using the shower can be a challenge. Heating might also be an issue in colder weather. Still, fitting a hostel into such an old building is a success, and I’d highly recommend visiting the city and staying here.
