Atrium Deluxe Resort

We had a very good vacation and would definitely return. The hotel has green surroundings, a relaxed atmosphere, and friendly, helpful staff. Its beach is easily reached in about three minutes on foot. Breakfast has a wide selection compared with similar hotels in Albania, while the large, clean pool has a satisfactory depth. The beds are really comfortable. The bathroom is too small, and the water temperature kept changing during our stay, from hot to cold, and sometimes there was no water. Tap water isn't drinkable in the region, and the hotel doesn't offer free filtered or mineral water, so that could be improved. It's good value for money and comparable to a 4-star hotel in the Balkans, though not to a 4-star hotel in Europe.

The first impression was positive, with gated parking, a clean area, and a great location. Our first room was very cramped, but they let us change it. Breakfast was the same each day but acceptable, and the staff were polite and attentive. The beach experience was unfair. We were told that three of us could use only two sun beds and had to give one up, yet the next day three other groups had three beds together. We also saw a family with a baby squeezed onto two chairs, and our complaint received no fair response. The red flag stayed up throughout our visit because the water was unsafe. Most seriously, I got food poisoning after they insisted we eat meat that we had already said didn't look good. Food safety should be treated as a top priority.

The good parts were the convenient beach location and the very comfortable bed. Sadly, it was not good value for money and felt far from a 4-star hotel. The bathroom was extremely old, with a tiny shower cabin and no door, so water covered the floor and toilet whenever we showered. Hot and cold water problems lasted through the first two days of our short 3-4 day stay, which was especially unpleasant in the heat. Breakfast wasn't very good, and I questioned the quality of the food. We were also disappointed by the room and terrace views. Proper drying racks for towels would help, and the road to the hotel is in poor condition.

The room was spacious, bright, and clean, with very comfortable beds. The staff were very friendly.
