The location was very good, with most things fairly close, and the staff were the only real positives. They were friendly and helpful, changing the bedsheets and towels every second day. Unfortunately, there were frequent power and water outages, and the sound isolation on the first floor was very poor. The freezer in the fridge didn’t have a door either. Not worth the price.

The hotel was newly refurbished, clean, and lovely, according to the person who booked it for me. The room had a fridge, which was handy for keeping water cold in the summertime, and the beach was very close, around 100-200mt depending on which part you use. I didn’t have issues with noise because I sleep with earplugs. It’s a small run business with experienced people, so don’t be surprised if reception is outside in the courtyard. Our room was $85 euros without breakfast, which was fine because there was a store across the road for snacks and restaurants for Petula to eat. I’d go back. Other hotels are right on the water and cost $200 euros and up, though I may try another one depending on vacancy. Well worth the visit.

We were charged €90 even though we never booked this place, and the money was not returned. They called it “policy,” but that makes no sense when there was no booking. What we found on arrival looked nothing like a hotel or apartment, more like a run-down rat house. The water stopped running just minutes later. The whole experience was dishonest and unprofessional, and the online photos were completely misleading.

The only real advantage is the beach, just 2 minutes walk downhill. Otherwise, our one-night stay was nearly unbearable. It was extremely noisy, with sound from both the other rooms and outside, and there was a damp smell. The floors were sticky, no slippers were provided, and the shower had no cabin, just a shower head above the toilet, leaving the entire bathroom flooded afterward. At a very low price it might be acceptable for one night just to sleep, but it’s not worth paying more or staying longer.
