Hotel Keisa

The beach is only 70 meters from the hotel, although the property itself isn’t directly on the beachfront. It’s a rounded, pebbly beach with four rows of sun loungers and umbrellas, which cost €10. Towels can be requested at reception. Our room had air conditioning, a mini fridge, a TV that was NOT SMART TV, a comfortable double bed, a free safe, and new toilet and shower facilities. For cleaning or fresh sheets and towels, you need to leave the key at reception. Free parking is available, which is useful since there is plenty of parking outside and the other available option costs €5. The hotel name isn’t displayed anywhere, so finding it can be confusing, though GPS leads you correctly. Solar panels and water tanks on the roof are a useful landmark. We’ll stay here again when we return to Dhermi.

I’ve never had such a disgraceful hotel stay. The owner shouted at guests, staff gave conflicting instructions, and nobody seemed to know what was happening. Breakfast was unavailable before the stated closing time, then the waiter mocked us and said we should “wake up earlier.” A cleaner also interrupted to say “we serve until 10am breakfast,” even though nobody had asked them. When we complained, the owner told us to pack our bags and leave instead of apologizing. The hotel’s only advantage seems to be that there were no other free apartments. One star is already too generous. Avoid this place at all costs.

The staff were really nice, and the room had AC and very good blackout curtains. The hotel is perfectly adequate, although the facilities aren’t especially luxurious. One minor problem was that the WiFi didn’t quite reach the rooms.

The WiFi didn’t work, the rooms weren’t cleaned during the week, and the bins were left full. The sheets didn’t fit properly or stay on the bed, either. What made things worse was the behavior of the people running the place. They were rude, aggressive, and seemed determined to find reasons to keep deposits. The owner yelled at everyone in our group, and other guests checking out at the same time were treated just as badly. They wanted to keep a 100 Euro deposit because there was sand in the bathroom. I’ve felt more welcome in supermarket car parks. Stay away from this place and these people.
