The room was old, with rusty items, old beds, and broken equipment. The fridge looked more than 40 years old. The toilet and shower were squeezed into one tiny space, so you could sit on the toilet and shower at the same time, a real time saver. The air conditioning technically worked, but even after running all night it didn’t cool the room. Breakfast meant either eggs or deep-fried donuts. It took 45 minutes to get one serving, despite my being the second person that morning. If you’re trying to leave early, there’s a good chance you’ll be blocked in and have to wake everyone up.

Stay away at all costs. This is a guest house, not a hotel, and the owner entered our room without our knowledge or permission. She also kept messaging us on WhatsApp throughout our vacation. After snooping around while we were out, she invented charges, including 40 EUR for running the AC and for leaving the key card in place, which she then took away. It was scorching hot in Dhermi, and we were left in heat and darkness while packing to leave. As a guest at La Maroja, don’t expect privacy, electricity, or respectful communication from the owner.

From the very first moment, La Maroja View felt like home. Mariana, who manages the hotel, and her mom treated us like their own children. Having breakfast and proper rest with the view and that home-like care, then going down to party every day for the Kala Festival, felt like heaven. The garden was wonderful to wake up to, and I can’t imagine a better combination. Thank you, Mariana and grandma. We already miss you!

Mariana, the woman managing the hotel, was incredible. She’s reliable and firm, but also lovely, and the food she makes is super delicious. Honestly, she exceeded what we expected. The hotel was very clean, and the overall experience was amazing. We’re from Germany, so our standards for service quality, cleanliness, and similar things are pretty high, which makes this even more impressive.

Mariana made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We were staying there during a summer festival, and even when the hotel suddenly became much busier, the hosting remained amazing. The rooms weren't luxurious, but they were decent and perfectly good enough for us.
