Militiko Residence

Militiko was a fantastic base in the center of Himara, making it easy to explore the area. Our group of six found the clean, cute rooms cozy, and we really enjoyed the well-kept shared kitchen and garden. It was also great that the place welcomed pets, so our dog Koko could come with us. Highly recommended for a comfortable, convenient stay.

Everything you need is within walking distance, including the nearby beach. The place is beautiful, relaxing, and aesthetically pleasing, and Egda was a very welcoming host. This was our second visit, and we’ll definitely return :)

Militiko is peaceful even though the beach and promenade are only a minute away, with free parking and a useful communal kitchen. The hosts are friendly and helpful, the rooms are a high standard, and breakfast is super. Himarë is also a great base for exploring the Albanian south. Why stay anywhere else?

The comfortable bed and decent room, which had all the necessary amenities, were the main positives. In the evening, the manager invited us for a glass of wine and kept the kitchen quiet. Unfortunately, arrival was difficult: we called the manager ten times without an answer, and at 4:00 PM a non-English-speaking woman told us the room would need another hour, so we waited outside. We were then placed in a separate ground-floor room beside the kitchen, with almost no privacy because we heard the guests dining there and they could hear us. The bathroom was unhygienic, with long hairs and mold on the floor and walls, and the room wasn’t changed after we called the manager. I’d give it 3 out of 5 stars.
