I checked in at 4am after my flight was cancelled, having travelled all the way from America. I asked the rude woman at reception if I could pay to stay one additional day until my morning flight so I would have somewhere safe, but she refused even though the app showed rooms available. She also would not help me with a cab, while assisting other guests in front of me. I felt completely unsupported and would never rely on this place again. Being stranded in a foreign country is frightening enough without being treated as though kindness is weakness. I had never felt so unimportant before Tirana. I cannot wait to go home.

The location is convenient because the hotel is easy to reach from Tirana Airport, and the rooms are clean, neat, and well maintained. Unfortunately, the basic amenities and service need serious work. There was no water or kettle in the room, and there was no hot water available for preparing baby formula or even tea or coffee, which is a major problem for families. Breakfast was very limited, with only four choices, and the quality was poor. The staff serving it came across as unfriendly and unprofessional, which made the meal more disappointing. Cleanliness and location are good, but the hotel needs substantial improvement to be comfortable for different kinds of travelers.

The rooms are large and the hotel still feels quite grand, especially if your eyesight is fading. It was also good value for money. That said, several details made the room feel tired: scuffed walls, worn or dated fixtures, ink marks on the pen tray, a cigarette butt under the bed, and coffee cup stains on the bathroom counter. A lovely hotel in principle, but maintenance could be better.

We spent one night here before starting our coastal Albanian road trip. The place felt gaudy, expensive, and not very friendly, while the rooms seemed old and poorly maintained. I also wouldn’t pay extra for the breakfast. Traditional local food would make more sense than the western-style offering, which was badly done.
