Troci Hotel

The atmosphere here is quiet, and the rooms are both spacious and very comfortable. Everything looked clean and well maintained, while the simple, elegant design gave the hotel a modern feel. The staff were welcoming and professional, and they were always willing to assist. Getting to the hotel was easy because the location is convenient. It works well for a short visit or a business trip. Highly recommended.

There are plenty of stores and cafes close by, even though the hotel is a little far from downtown. Our room was clean and had lots of space, and breakfast offered a great variety. Highly recommend.

The rooms were clean and very pleasant, and the buffet breakfast was tasty. What really stood out, though, was how friendly and accommodating Edi and the rest of the Troci team were. The hotel is somewhat outside the centre, but that caused us no trouble. The team arranged a taxi for us easily in both directions. Highly recommend staying here in Tirana, and thanks for a great stay. We’re looking forward to returning.

The staff were the strongest part of our stay. Every person we met was warm, friendly, helpful and welcoming, and I genuinely have no complaint about their service. The hotel itself is modern and charming, with very spacious rooms and an appealing design. The bathrooms felt too small for the size of the rooms, though. Breakfast was good quality and changed each day, even if the selection was limited, so it didn’t become repetitive. Free self-parking on the property was also useful. Unfortunately, the location was difficult. It took around 40 minutes to reach the city centre without traffic, and traffic was common. The street noise also came clearly into the room, often making an alarm clock unnecessary. The executive suite’s hot tub was a major disappointment. Debris and spirogyra came out of the jets the first time we used it, which suggested stagnant water in the pipes. We got out immediately, drained it, cleaned it and filled it again. Nothing came out on the second attempt, but on the final day debris gushed out again as soon as the jets were switched on. The tubs need to be cleaned after every use or serviced regularly. The mood light above the tub also caused problems. It would not switch off, and because the tub was right beside the bed with no separating door, it stayed on all night. Replacing the remote battery the next morning didn’t solve it, as the light kept coming on randomly. There was water leaking from the bathroom ceiling during our first shower too. The small bathroom, together with the badly sealed shower that let water spread over the floor, made it frustrating to use. Room service was another issue: after we requested a full clean, only the towels were replaced and the room wasn’t properly tidied or serviced. Although the staff were outstanding, the maintenance problems, noise, location and room issues mean I wouldn’t return or recommend the hotel.
