Hotel Romeo

Everyone in our university group who stayed at Hotel Romeo became ill with what seemed to be norovirus. We had vomiting, headaches, and severe exhaustion. Since we ate at different restaurants and split up for activities during the day, yet all developed the same symptoms, I believe it came from the hotel breakfast. The students staying at the other hotel had no problems at all.

The location works well, close to the main park, main square, and shops. The owners speak both English and Greek, and breakfast is included and sufficient. Rooms at the front, especially on the third floor, have a very nice view. My only real problem was the mattress, which was too soft and left my back sore during my longer stay. Apart from that, the place is fine and I’d recommend it.

The calm, cozy environment and the cleanliness made Hotel Romeo a wonderful experience, but the kindness of the people was what I’ll remember most. It’s right in the center, close to everything. I also want to thank Silvia at reception, who was incredibly sweet. I accidentally left my bag there with all my personal belongings, and they sent it directly to me, an hour and a half away. I’ll keep visiting, and thank you for everything!

Although Hotel Romeo is in a quiet street where parking is possible, it is still very central in Korce. Our twin room had comfortable beds, the necessary furniture, and a walk-in shower. The buffet breakfast included fresh vegetables, eggs, juices, pancakes, and more. Most memorable was the staff, from the gentleman who checked us in to the breakfast waiters. They were responsive, professional, and made us feel looked after. I’ll come back.
