Agimi Hotel Ksamil

We were comfortable, everything was clean, and the hotel is in a convenient location. But the day we left, someone posted a Booking.com review in my name praising the breakfast, even though we never ate breakfast there. That was completely unnecessary and a shame. A week later, Booking.com still hadn’t replied to my messages about it, so be cautious about the reviews you see there.

The reason I’m giving one star is that the owner posted a 10 point Booking.com review in my name, praising the hotel and breakfast, when I hadn’t written one. I reported it to Booking.com because this felt fraudulent and unacceptable. I can only wonder whether some of the other glowing 10 point reviews were written by guests either. We’d booked Villa Center Ksamil because of its great reviews, but on arrival we were told we’d be staying at the hotel next door instead. That was fine. The hotel itself was new and decent, with good rooms and a few minor flaws, though it was a bit far from the center. I would have rated the stay a 7. The pool couldn’t be used because we were told a specialist still needed to clean it, and I now see reviews saying that had been an issue for a while. Breakfast wasn’t great either. It was already waiting on a tray when we got to the breakfast area, and I didn’t know how long it had been sitting out in the heat, which didn’t feel very hygienic. When I later tried to review the stay on Booking, I couldn’t because the owner hadn’t confirmed it yet. Then I suddenly got an email saying my review had been posted, although I hadn’t written anything.

It was an affordable, comfortable place, with friendly staff who were always ready to help. The sea was only a few minutes’ walk away, and our room was tidy and cleaned regularly. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy stay, a welcoming atmosphere, and a convenient location.

The common areas felt stylish and welcoming, and the service really exceeded what I expected. Everyone was friendly, professional, and ready to help.
