Euro Hotel

The breakfast and pool were the highlights for us. It was nice to have pool towels included, and the beanbag loungers were comfortable. We’d been excited about this hotel because it was the most expensive stop on our trip and we were hoping for some luxury. We stayed six nights. After the first night, we asked to change rooms because ours had no sea view, despite that being widely advertised. Instead, it faced the driveway, where people walked past at all hours, leaving us with little privacy. We were told the hotel was fully booked, and when we asked again on day three, moving still wasn’t possible. We saw people come and go many times during our stay, so surely it could have been possible. At checkout, we were told it was because we’d booked in June, even though we stayed in August. I’m not really sure of the reasoning, but it put a negative spin on our trip. The hotel also advertises a private beach, which was another reason we picked it over other places nearby. That isn’t true. It does not have a private beach.

The pool and garden were always clean and well looked after. I often saw a staff member working on them for hours each morning. We had a fantastic stay and I’d highly recommend the hotel. Our suite was on the third floor, the sea-view room we reserved and the best room in the hotel. The view was beautiful and the beach was very close. Breakfast was great, the seafood was really good, and there was a nice wine selection. They welcomed us at check-in with a complimentary bottle of champagne. The staff spoke excellent English and were very friendly. We also appreciated the room service that decanted our wine. A couple of small things were missing from the room: there was no coffee machine or minibar, so one evening we went out to buy snacks.

The pool is gorgeous, and it was easy to get down to the sea. There was space for our bikes, and check-in went smoothly. The rooms were clean, quiet, and restful, just right for some downtime. We’d been travelling off road for many weeks and were really tired. Fabio was welcoming and attentive, helped with everything, and sorted a few extra requests for us.

The staff were the part I liked most, especially Fabio and Leda at reception. They helped us personally from the time we arrived until we left, and were super nice and helpful. The hotel is one of the best in Ksamil, new, very clean, and well maintained. Ksamil is still relatively new to tourism. There’s no spa or gym yet, though I understand they’re being built. I can’t wait for my next visit.
