Johns Guesthouse

The terrace was lovely, with spectacular views towards Corfu, and the rooms were simple but nice enough. But the noise from nearby bars went on all day and well into the early hours, completely ruining the guesthouse’s calm. We’d read glowing reviews of the seafood at the restaurant, so we ordered the seafood platter. What arrived shocked me: three crabs on frozen, shelled mussels that were inedible, plus deep-fried crab balls. Further up the coast, this dish has fresh fish fillets, prawns, and squid. This version was easily the worst and most expensive meal of our two weeks in Albania. It came with cold mashed potatoes and four slices of supermarket bread, served by an unpleasant boy-waiter. Staying at this guesthouse in this awful holiday resort has been the low point of our trip so far.

We had a lovely stay, with a clean room and the best view. The staff were amazing and caring, and the food was delicious, so you should definitely try it. We’ll certainly come back.

The balcony and room gave us plenty of space, and everything was clean. The kids were especially happy with the bunk bed made to look like a tree house. We also loved looking out over Ksamil and the beach.

Those sunset views from the garden were stunning, and we loved the food too 🤩. We had such an amazing time here. We’re planning to come back next year 🫶🏻, and I’d absolutely recommend the hotel.
