Vila Bello

The views of the sea are breathtaking, and Vila Bello is quiet and clean. We especially enjoyed breakfast on the balcony each morning, looking out at the water. The modern, comfortable rooms and relaxing pool and terrace made it a beautiful place to stay in Ksamil. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome. I’d highly recommend it for the peaceful setting and scenery. It makes you want to stay forever.

The view and pool are superb, and the pool was never crowded, with perhaps four or five people in it at most. The sunsets from there are the best. Breakfast included local specialties and was good, but also had supermarket croissants and stale cereal. Get there at least an hour before breakfast ends, because they don’t refill the buffet. My husband asked for eggs 30 minutes before closing and was told no. The rooms are basic for the high price. Our two-bedroom apartment had air conditioning only in the living room, not the bedrooms. The bathroom needs renovating, has no shower curtain or door, and the floor gets soaked each time. There are no bathroom amenities, and the stove in the kitchen was really old fashioned, though there was a decent amount of dishware. Cleaning was every other day, and the cleaners were lovely. The area is quieter than central Ksamil, but a bar or restaurant down the hill plays loud music most of the day. Thankfully it doesn’t start too early and stops by 11 pm. The property is family run. We never saw the father. The mother is friendly but doesn’t speak much English, and the son speaks English and is okay. There’s no lift, and we were on the fourth floor, so you need to be fit and healthy.

We felt welcome throughout our two-night stay while travelling through Albanië. The place is away from the busy part of Ksamil, but shops, the beach, and restaurants are still close. The mom made breakfast and was so sweet 🙂 If we come back to Ksamil, we’ll stay here again.

That sea view is hard to beat. Vila Bello is peaceful, yet town, bars, and beaches are close by. The family running it were lovely and always ready to help. Breakfast was simple and wholesome, just right to start the day. The room itself was basic, but the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was a treat. I’d make sure to book a sea-view room.
