Hotel Roi

What worked best for us was the location. Beaches and shops were easy to reach, and the view was wonderful. The breakfast was really tasty, and the staff were lovely and very helpful. The rooms weren't perfect, but they were comfortable enough for me and my two parents. A hair dryer and stove would have been useful, though. We had a very good stay and would come back.

Our family holiday at Hotel Roi in Vlore was disappointing in several ways. The staff did not offer the professional help we expected. When we asked them to arrange a taxi, we were told, "Just Google it." The room had ants when we arrived, poor lighting, and a refrigerator that didn't work. Basic items were missing too, including shampoo, beach towels, and somewhere to hang wet clothes. Silverfish appeared in several rooms, which raised further concerns about cleanliness. WiFi was also slow and unreliable for most of the stay. The hotel only accepted cash and did not provide receipts unless asked, which felt outdated and insecure. Breakfast was the same one-size-fits-all option, with no consideration for different dietary needs. At the beach area, our group of eight received only two parasols. The music was extremely loud, getting to the sea was awkward, and there was no food service. Beer was also very expensive. The remote setting made things harder. There were no grocery shops within walking distance, and without your own transport it was difficult to go anywhere. The roads were narrow, cars drove fast, and there were no sidewalks, so walking around felt unsafe. That limited our chance to see the area and experience the local surroundings. Based on this stay, I wouldn't recommend Hotel Roi. The service, facilities, and general upkeep all need improvement.

The service was terrible, and the prices charged did not match the menu, as shown in the attached photos for Heineken and Pizza Fhungi. When we asked to speak with the manager, he refused to come out. Instead, he told the waiter to return our money and silence the issue. Customers shouldn't be treated this way.

The sea view was beautiful, and breakfast was excellent, especially the milk and bread :). Of all the hotels we visited in this part of the country, ROI was perhaps one of the better options for this price.
