We liked the staff, who were kind and helpful whenever we needed them. It does seem to be family-run, and they also own the restaurant underneath. We ate breakfast there twice, paid extra, and thought it was very good and worth the cost. The hotel is within walking distance of Sarande’s center, with restaurants and beach clubs nearby. Our room was fairly large and fine for the price, but the bathroom was a problem. The shower area was open, so the whole room got wet, and the broken shower head holder was hard to keep steady, especially while washing my hair. A curtain and a new holder would have been easy fixes before guests arrived. With those sorted, I’d have given five stars.

We’re happy every time we come back. It’s a friendly, familiar, cozy place, and the restaurant is another reason to return to Saranda each year.

Everything we needed was close by, no more than a five-minute walk: beaches, a market, bakery, shops, souvenirs, and a bar. The rooms are very clean, have a kitchen with all the necessary utensils, and are reasonably well insulated for both heat and sound. Hotel Argjiro sits in central Saranda with some sea views. The family who run it are among the best people I’ve met, and their restaurant inside the hotel serves the best food in the area. Special thanks to Lisjen, Armando and Amanda for always making sure we had what we needed. I highly recommend both the hotel and restaurant.

We searched all around Sarrande for a really good grilled Gilthead, and this was easily the best we found, even with seafood everywhere. The staff were friendly and kind, and kept the place open late since we didn’t arrive for dinner until after midnight. Great atmosphere and excellent food. Definitely recommend.

I stayed for a month before the season began and got fabulous hospitality from the staff. The suite/apartment was great, and the restaurant downstairs was amazing too.
