Hotel Blue Bay

The best part was waking up to the breathtaking sea view from my room. Breakfast was also thoughtfully served directly at the table, which was convenient and pleasant. From arrival onward, the exceptionally kind staff made me feel comfortable and welcome. It was a delightful stay that I would happily recommend.

Our room was fantastic, with a large bathroom and views across the ocean and Corfu. The hotel sits right on the water, with sun lounges and access for swimming, and many cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets are within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and did their best to help, even though they didn't speak much English. Great place to stay.

The owner made things easy by personally helping arrange taxis to the port and other destinations. Breakfast was included, prepared with care, and had the relaxed feeling of a family-run place. Most mornings began with beautiful ocean views, from sunlight on the water to a peaceful horizon at dusk. The staff were consistently thoughtful and welcoming, and the accommodation itself was very good. I’d give it 5 out of 5 and would gladly recommend it.

Room 16 was finally comfortable and felt much closer to the 4-star standard I expected, but I spent five nights changing rooms three times. In Room 13, the fridge and an outside generator or pump made constant noise, and the pillows caused neck pain. Room 11 had an AC that blew warm air instead of cooling, so I couldn't sleep because of the heat and noise. Only the manager spoke English, and his personal questions, including why I wasn't married, felt inappropriate and unprofessional. Even basic things such as cups, an extra pillow, a blanket, or a kettle had to be requested through him. The hotel needs repaired or replaced AC units and fridges, basic room amenities, better cleanliness and ergonomics, and proper hospitality training. You may be lucky with a room like 16, but I wasn't for most of my stay.
