Blue Bay Hotel

The sea view from my room was unforgettable, especially in the morning. Breakfast was brought straight to the table, which felt thoughtful and convenient. From arrival onward, the staff were warm and exceptionally welcoming, so I felt comfortable throughout my stay. I’d happily recommend this hotel.

The room was excellent, with a large bathroom and views across the ocean toward Corfu. The hotel sits right on the water, with sun lounges and direct access for swimming. Staff were very friendly and did their best to help, even though their English was limited. Cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets are all within walking distance.

The ocean views were stunning, from bright mornings on the water to peaceful evenings on the horizon. Breakfast was included and had a relaxed, homely feel, with meals that seemed carefully prepared. The owner was especially helpful and arranged taxis to the port and other destinations. What made the stay memorable was the staff. They were consistently kind, thoughtful, and welcoming, making me feel almost like part of the family. The accommodation, personal service, and setting easily earned a 5 out of 5 from me, and I’d gladly recommend it.

Room 16 was finally comfortable and felt much closer to the 4-star standard I expected, but I spent most of my five-night stay moving between rooms. In Room 13, a noisy fridge and loud machinery outside, possibly a generator or pump, kept disturbing me, and the pillows caused neck pain. Room 11 had an AC that blew warm air instead of cooling, so I couldn’t sleep because of the heat and outside noise. The service was also difficult. Only the manager spoke English, and some of his personal questions, including why I wasn’t married, felt unprofessional. Even basic requests such as cups, a kettle, an extra pillow, or a blanket had to go through him, although these should have been in the rooms already. The property could have real 4-star potential if the AC units and fridges were repaired or replaced, rooms were better equipped and cleaned, ergonomics were improved, and the staff received proper hospitality training. Your experience may be better if you get a room like Room 16, but I wasn’t that lucky for most of my stay.
