Harbour Hotel

What made our stay at the Harbour Hotel especially good was the staff. They were so friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome. The hotel is close to everything, but the area is still quiet and peaceful, so it was easy to relax. Our room was clean, modern, and comfortable, just what you want while traveling. I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Saranda, and I’d love to return.

We found a peaceful pool area that was lovely for relaxing, and the restaurant served delicious fresh seafood. The rooms were spacious, clean, nicely designed, and had beautiful sea views. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Harbour Hotel is just outside the center of Saranda, which made it feel like a quiet little find. A couple of things to check: whether the pool is open early in the season, and whether your room has a fridge if you need one. A really lovely stay for couples or families after a quiet, comfortable getaway.

Tommy at reception was so sweet and helpful, and the hotel was clean. The breakfast buffet had lots to choose from, and we had a great time at the pool. My two friends and I stayed for two nights and had a fantastic experience. Would recommend it 10/10.

We hated this hotel, and spent the stay counting down to checkout. There were a couple of positives: it was somewhere near Ksamil, if you ignored the map scale, and parking was nearby. Getting to use the parking was another matter. We had to find someone at the front desk and persuade them to unlock it. That puzzle was probably the highlight of our stay. The room was uncomfortable for four people. One person got a couch with a sheet thrown over it, and someone else had a sofa armchair bed that was as unpleasant as it sounds. Talking with staff often felt like a failed game of charades. The swing chair outside was rusty, the windows looked as if nobody had cleaned them in ages, and opening the terrace door took the strength of a weightlifter. We raised these problems at the front desk and were told, “impossible to fix.” Outside noise came straight into the room. There was water damage under the fridge, and the WiFi was slow, unreliable, and kept disconnecting. The pool was dirty and tucked behind another building, where it was in the shade when you might actually want to swim. Then there were the extra hassles: parking required a staff escort instead of a simple room key system, paying by card cost us an extra 3%, and a cappuccino was €3. When my card failed because of a typo in the CVV, the manager told me I “had no money.” That was untrue and needlessly rude, and ended up being the part of the stay I remembered most.
