Hotel Lindi

Hotel Lindi has a characterful look, with a memorable bit of kitsch in the decor that I found charming. It was a comfortable and convenient base in Sarande. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the location was ideal, just a short walk from both the port and the beach.

The breakfast was a huge, tasty highlight, and the staff were fabulous and so hospitable. We were sad to leave Hotel Lindi. Our room was very comfortable, with a balcony, laundry service, a comfortable bed, and air conditioning that worked really well. The facilities were great, and it had one of the best showers I’ve had in Europe. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We’ll be back.

We had some unpleasant experiences with people elsewhere around the city, and the kindness at this hotel helped us put that behind us. The owner asked us to wait a moment at checkout, then quickly went to a nearby shop and bought us a souvenir from Saranda. It was beautiful and valuable, and it meant a lot to us. We’re very grateful. The location is right in the city centre, so we could get around on foot without a car. There’s a large supermarket, local grocery shops, an exchange office, the bus station, taxis, and more nearby. The owner and staff were incredibly kind from the start. When we arrived half an hour before check-in on the first day, they welcomed us with coffee and cake. Our spacious room was very clean, with a balcony and somewhere to hang clothes. Laundry service was free. Whenever we returned from being out, they gave us cold bottled water for free, which was a real help in the heat. Breakfast was delicious and had plenty to choose from: fruit, pastries, juice, tea, coffee, bread, omelet, eggs, avocado, and cheese. Bottled water was free at breakfast too, and we could pack food to take with us.

The only snag for us was the locked door at night. If you’re out late, you’ll need to wake someone to let you in, though they were always willing to do it. We loved the location: right in the centre of Sarande, and only a five-minute walk to the seaside. The room was spacious with a huge balcony, and felt well worth what we paid. It was cleaned daily. Breakfast was tasty and good quality, and service was quick. The staff welcomed us warmly, handled our requests, and gave us lots of useful tips about destinations and which roads to take.
