We booked two nights over New Year after reading other reviews, and the place lived up to them. What a lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean, right in the heart of the city, but still quiet at night. Breakfast was a feast, and the owners couldn’t do enough for us. We’ll return, probably for another New Year, and stay at the Hotel Star again.

On our last morning, we had to leave early for the ferry, and the staff kindly put together a quick breakfast before we set off. The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety each morning, and the staff were especially accommodating. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The hotel is right in the center of Sarandë, within easy walking distance of what you need and handy for local excursions and tours. The one downside was no elevator, so carrying luggage up to the 5th floor could be difficult for some. A great stay, and I’d recommend it for exploring Sarandë.

The owner really made our stay in Saranda better. He was kind, welcoming, and always ready to help, from restaurant tips and arranging transportation to answering questions and checking that we were comfortable. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and well maintained, with comfortable rooms and the basic amenities you need. It’s close to the beach, shops, and restaurants, but in a quiet area where we could sleep well. I’d highly recommend Saranda Star Hotel for couples, families, or solo travelers. The comfort, location, and service make it a great choice.
