We booked here at the last minute after disliking the place we’d reserved before. It’s away from Saranda’s busiest road, so it was much quieter. We arrived, paid in cash, and they photocopied my ID before handing us the keys and showing us to the room. The room was clean, and the slightly dated bathroom worked just fine. The entrance to the rooms is tucked away in a sort of alley.

We paid 60 euro for one night, which felt like a fair and honest price. Sala is in the center of Saranda, and it’s worth the money. The owner’s sons were very friendly, and the owner Lady was always kind and kept the place very clean. I strongly recommend it.

The rooms were clean and well cared for, and you can see the attention to detail. The service was very nice and helpful, too. Close to the sea, it’s easy to enjoy walks along the beach whenever you like. For me, it was just right for relaxing and discovering the area. The hotel is close to the sea and in a good location, but the room we got wasn’t the one we booked. On Booking, it was clearly listed as having a balcony with a city view. They took payment before showing us the room. Once we got inside, we found there was no balcony, and the only window looked onto an unpleasant back yard. When we raised the issue, they said something like, “That room is occupied right now.” That’s unacceptable. If it isn’t available, it shouldn’t be advertised and charged for. I paid for a higher-category room and was given a cheaper one. It felt dishonest, like a scam, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this property.
