Villa Green Garden

Vera and her husband were lovely, and we had a great stay. She even made Nutella, strawberry, and banana crepes, which I was obsessed with. Breakfast also had sweet and savory choices that were perfect to grab before heading out. Our room was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. I didn't realize housekeeping was included, so it was a nice surprise to come back after our first day and find fresh towels, a made bed, and our clothes folded. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the Seranda promenade and its restaurants, bars, and clubs. Since it's up on the hill, the walk back is a bit of a trek, though a taxi is easy to get for around €10. The hosts were so helpful and friendly, and I couldn't have asked for a more comfortable place.

We liked it enough to add an extra night. Vera and Alvin are generous, kind hosts who really want guests to enjoy their time in Sarande. Our double room was spotless, with high-end bedding and towels and excellent WiFi. Breakfast is served in the garden, with plenty of freshly prepared options such as fruit, eggs, cheese, and crepes. The hotel has lots of parking if you're arriving by car. It's on the main road out of town, so traffic noise is noticeable, and getting back uphill from the main beach area takes a bit of a walk. The hotel is conveniently placed for the main beach.

We had two separate one-night bookings, one through Agoda and one through Booking.com, but when we arrived the staff said they couldn't find either reservation. They were rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful, blaming us instead of trying to fix it. We had to find somewhere else ourselves and pursue refunds through each booking site separately. My pregnant friend was left waiting on the phone with Booking.com in the scorching heat, without any support or basic care from the property. The place also looked nothing like the photos. It felt like a construction site, with ants everywhere, and not staying there turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Staff even said this sort of thing "happens all the time." Save yourself the stress and book elsewhere.

On a road trip with my boyfriend, we stayed two nights. The staff were so welcoming, and Vlora gave us advice and helped with all our questions and requests. Our room was huge, and the peaceful garden was a lovely place to have the generous breakfast with homemade crepes. It's only about 15 minutes from the promenade. Would absolutely recommend.
