Hotel Alpet

I stayed overnight after a late flight, and the clean, cozy single bed and working air conditioner made it comfortable. The airport is only a five minute walk away, and the airport shuttle to Komani Lake is right outside. The man at the front desk was polite and helpful, and stored my bag for 5 days. I'd recommend staying here and would come back.

A big warning if you're arriving in the early hours. They say in booking.com messages that you can arrive then, but at the front desk they claimed there was no evidence of our booking and turned us away, even after we showed proof. We're two young female travellers, and there was no sympathy or compassion. Typing this from the side of the road 🙃

The lobby was nice and the staff friendly. We expected simple rooms and booked for one night before our morning flight, so that part was fine. But the toilet wouldn't flush properly, and the shower drain couldn't handle a normal amount of water, so it overflowed while I was showering. These things should be working and seem easy to fix.

The hotel is clean and airy, and surprisingly pleasant for a simple airport stop. It's easy to walk there in 5-10 minutes, depending on your luggage. Rooms are plain but have what you need, including aircon, and the staff are friendly. Some speak English. They accept credit cards in Euros, and the wifi is good throughout. There's a restaurant and cafe on site, with indoor and outdoor seating. It looks over the Alpet petrol station, but the area around the airport is built up. Plenty of locals eat and drink there, and smoke, especially outdoors. The food was good and reasonably priced. Handy for a night by the airport, and recommended. There isn't a hotel name sign outside, just a cafe sign. It's the low rise building next to the Alpet petrol station, between the Best Western and the Zeus.
