Hotel Gjuta

Everyone on staff was accommodating, and I liked the place. I'd stay here again next time ☺️

The service was very good, with the hotel staff doing their best to help with whatever you need on vacation. The building is old, though the lobby and restaurant are beautiful and new. The elevator is a bit dated, and the hallways are nice. Our room, beds, TV, and shower were old, dusty, and not as clean as they could have been. The area is still developing, so we understood, and the price felt fair. Some rooms may be better than others. Breakfast was more than okay for vegans and vegetarians if you tell the staff what you want in the morning. It's also close to central Tirana by bus.

The staff are friendly, but their English isn't strong enough for easy communication. There's nowhere at the hotel or nearby to charge an electric car. Breakfast is prepared individually, though on some days you may wait longer if the cook isn't there.

There's free parking on site, and the online rate was cheap. That price makes more sense now: this is a you-get-what-you-pay-for hotel. My room had no blanket or shower curtain, while my friend's had blankets and a bathtub. The lobby and elevator smell strongly of cigarette smoke.
