Vila Gaudium

The view is mind blowing, and getting up early for sunrise is a must. Most rooms and the rooftop have a clear ocean view. The rooms are clean, spacious, well equipped, and offer great views. We stayed with two adults and a child in a room for three without any problem. For the price, this is incredible, and Gaudium Villa is one of the best places we’ve stayed. Finding it on Google Maps was easy, food delivery through Wolt was easy and cheap, and there’s free parking right by the door. We arrived at 8 in the evening, and the kind lady working there helped us quickly. It took only five minutes from arrival to getting inside. Absolutely beautiful, and worth the drive from Tirana.

We spent our honeymoon here and would choose it again over a hotel that feels generic. The place has real character, and our host was so kind. The manager also replied quickly and was always helpful. 🌻

We really enjoyed this hotel and would happily come back. The room was clean and pleasant, and the staff were friendly. There’s a lovely sunset view, and Vlorë is about a 10-minute drive away. Finding the hotel by car was easy, and there’s private parking.

The water view was stunning, and the room was fairly spacious. The rate was low, which may explain some of the shortcomings, but we spent a cold and frustrating night there. There were no spare blankets, and the thin blanket on the bed covered only about two-thirds of it. If we pulled it up to our shoulders, our feet were left uncovered. The heater also didn’t warm the room enough. The bathroom layout was awkward too, with the toilet squeezed between the shower and bidet so you had to sit sideways. We struggled to find the hotel with Google Maps and GPS, so someone had to meet us on the main road, guide us there, and check us in. Since it was the off-season, no staff were on site. After we settled in, we called someone back because the bathroom sink plumbing was leaking and had left a large puddle on the floor. A young man covered the puddles with a couple of bath mats and said he’d repair it the next day, after we had left. We had to use towels in the morning to soak up more water.
