Casanova Inn - Boutique Hotel

We visited with friends in August 2024 and were very happy with the experience. The rooms were good and quiet, the place had an authentic feel, breakfast was excellent, and the staff were welcoming and lovely. A couple of small things could be fixed: room 13's door is hard to keep closed unless you lock it with the key, and the piano music in the main hall loops and carries into rooms in the morning. Still, we were very pleased and would warmly recommend the place.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the common room fireplace was wonderful to sit beside each evening. Special thanks to Vahagn for keeping a fire going every night, and to chef Armeniye, whose Oladiks were the best. We ordered dinner a few times, too, and really liked the food, especially the borcsh. Breakfast was the best I've had in Armenia. My family stayed for a week. The newly renovated room we had for the first four days was perfect. After that, unavailability meant moving to an older room for a few days, which wasn't as nice, but I had no complaints because everything else was perfect.

We had a junior suite on the corner of the building. It was spacious and large, with a bathroom and small hallway, and it was clean and well looked after. Casanova Inn sits in a quiet part of town with breathtaking mountain views, plus facilities including a gym and sauna. The owner and staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable and make sure we had what we needed. Dinner wasn't part of our original booking, but we chose to eat at Casanova Inn and enjoyed a phenomenal feast of Armenian and Eastern dishes. Our included breakfast was also generous, varied, and delicious. We loved our stay and highly recommend Casanova Inn to anyone in the area.

The food was a real highlight. We had breakfast on the balcony overlooking the valley, and with cooking like that, the location being a little out of the way didn't bother me. The staff were brilliant and gave us better service than I've ever had at any hotel. It is a bit dated and isn't a five-star place, so it may not suit you if you're used to modern Western luxury. I'd happily stay again without hesitation.
