EcoKayan Hotel

The road is a problem for taxi drivers who haven’t been there before. I hope the hotel owners nearby are talking with the city government about it. I remember the place as a perfect event venue from electronic music events a couple of years ago, and I miss those days. The location is beautiful, though overpriced, and some basic things were missing from the rooms. Come on, guys, that shouldn’t be so hard to sort out.

The rooms were perfect, though there’s no coffee in them, so we brought our portable coffeemaker. We had breakfast and dinner at Ecokayan and picked up a snack in town between meals. It’s a 2.5km walk to town. The forest, stream, and animal sounds make it a magical place to switch off. I think this is the place to stay when visiting Dilijan.

The rooms were very clean, and the food was fresh and delicious. Everyone was friendly, especially Yelena, Mariam, Eric, and the young lady with the long white braid. They were always smiling and helpful, and their warm hospitality made our stay even better. It’s a peaceful resort surrounded by nature, with a family-friendly feel that’s great for relaxing with kids. There are small animals around, plus complimentary master classes and fishing. One suggestion: add wardrobes or some hanging space in the rooms. We’d gladly come back and recommend it to families with children.

The animals roaming freely around the property made this a really unique place. Be sure to say hello to the dark haired pig, who’s very friendly. The staff were helpful, and most of them live on site too.
