Waking up to the forest right outside was so peaceful. Compositor has these private little cottages for 4-5 people, and ours was clean, cozy, and set up really well for comfort. It’s tucked among the trees, with a quiet atmosphere that made it easy to unwind and spend time with the people we love. Everything felt natural and well cared for, and the privacy made the stay feel special. Absolutely loved it.

Our stay there last week was awful. We had booked two rooms, but they cancelled the booking twice and eventually gave us just one. Even after we arrived, they wouldn't provide the single room, saying it had been given to somebody else. Some rooms don't have air conditioning for heating or cooling, either. The staff and receptionists were impolite and aggressive. Food was expensive and low quality, and the location was hard to reach without your own car, with no nice view. I wouldn't recommend staying here. Dilijan has plenty of cheaper, better alternatives.

The road up to the hotel was in really poor shape, though that's not unusual in Armenia. We came with a group in August, and almost nothing matched what we expected. This isn't a four-star hotel, and there's no reception open around the clock. Breakfast was bad, just sausages, eggs, rice, and apricots. Rooms were cleaned only if we asked, and we had to request toilet paper too. At night we heard scratching sounds on the walls and woke up. I still don't know if it was animals or bad plumbing.

Being surrounded by nature is lovely here, and the building has a special connection to Soviet times. It used to be a Pansionat for Soviet composers, which gives the hotel a symbolic feel.

We chose not to stay because the service, conditions, and experience were all very bad. Getting our money back was a struggle: after a long argument, they returned only part of it and kept a large amount, saying they had to “recalculate” everything. This was back in 2025, and the rest still hasn't been returned. A very disappointing, unprofessional experience.
