The room in the little house in the garden was fine, and the breakfast was very good. The price was fair, but the bed was unusable. It seemed to have watched generations of people grow bigger and heavier. Service was average, and our impression wasn’t as good as the older reviews here. This place carries memories and ghosts. Artush and Raisa have left and gone abroad, and their son Martin has taken over. We can’t compare the past with the present, but it seems the good old days are over.

I stayed for a few days in September 2012 and was delighted to be the only guest. My king size room had a piano, high ceilings, and traditional carpets that gave it atmosphere. I moved the large table by the window and spent quiet nights reading and planning my trip to Georgia. Artush, the father, was a gentleman who knew a lot about Armenia’s culture and history. My only regret was that he was away in Yerevan for a few days leading a group tour. Otherwise, he would have taken me on a day trip to interesting places around Gyumri. (Sep 2012)

Dear Owners, please consider replacing the beds and mattresses, and getting AC. The kitchen could be much cleaner, and guests should be told that there’s no water in the pipes after midnight. Apart from that, it was OK in general: clean bathroom, very good Wifi, and polite staff.

The owner was friendly and helpful, and the room was very spacious. It was a comfortable place to rest while I recovered from an intense week. Lovely city, and I’d definitely stay here again.

The rooms are nice, and the B&B itself is good, but finding the place can be tricky. Breakfast and dinner are served in such generous portions that it felt like far too much, and the price was too high for that.
