I booked through Booking, but when I arrived they tried to charge me four times the price for one night. They said there was an error on my phone. Even after the owner checked on his own phone and saw the price I was meant to pay, he wouldn't agree to it and kept coming up with reasons to overcharge me. I don't recommend this place.

At this price, it's rare to find this level of service in Gyumri. The place is quiet, the room was clean and tidy, and breakfast was generous. A top choice!

I left too early to say goodbye, so thanks for having me! This little hostel/hotel was friendly and quiet at night, with tea and coffee facilities and a pleasant courtyard for sitting and eating. There's a friendly dog too. A supermarket and banks are nearby. The minibus stops outside and costs 100dram to the center, or you can walk, which takes about an hour and a quarter. There's heaps to see in this lovely city, so I'd recommend staying several days.
