We went in June, and Tsaghkatun felt like a magical, quaint place for a vacation. The grounds were quiet and full of trees, and the staff were pleasant and welcoming. Our room was clean and well furnished, and the food was delicious. I can only imagine how lovely it must be in winter.

Gabriel, the owner, was very friendly and hospitable. The restaurant was closed when we visited, but he arranged food delivery so we wouldn't have much trouble finding a meal. The rooms were fine, the location was good, and Wi-Fi around the property worked well. There was no tea kettle in the room. Breakfast was wonderful, especially since it had been prepared just for us. A nice stay overall.

It's about a 15-minute walk to the cable car. Skiers may find it inconvenient since there's no place to dry clothes or keep equipment. It seems better suited to families after a relaxing weekend. Smoking is everywhere, and the smell gets into the rooms too.
