Aleppo Hotel

I wouldn't recommend this hotel for families. The building feels very dated, the furniture is old, and the rooms smell bad. Broken things aren't properly maintained or replaced. Communication was difficult because the staff didn't understand English.

The hotel's breakfast was a lovely start to each day, with local dishes and international favorites served in an elegant, cozy dining room. The food was delicious. Aleppo Hotel also made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and the location was quiet but still close to Yerevan's main attractions. Our room was spotless and nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed and thoughtful details like complimentary toiletries. Every staff member was warm and helpful, offering suggestions for restaurants and sights. The service felt attentive throughout, and the hotel exceeded our expectations. I'd highly recommend Aleppo Hotel for either business or leisure, and we can't wait to return.

The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay bearable, though we had to ask for our towels to be changed every time. There was also a misunderstanding about that. The only thing we liked about the place was the pool, which is why we'd chosen the hotel. We found cockroaches in our room, constantly coming out of a bathroom drain, so we asked to move. The rooms are old, some furniture is wobbly or not properly fixed to the walls, and parts of the walls were dirty. Our bathroom smelled awful and had no hooks for clothes. Breakfast was poor too, with cold coffee and food that didn't look fresh, so we bought food from the supermarket across the street. The location is okay by car, but I can't say how it is for public transport.

We booked a large room because of the pool, but the pool was uncomfortable to use, with just a tap for cold water. The water was dirty and unfiltered, and the seats were dirty too. The room stank, with a bad toilet smell throughout, and one side of the bed was broken and sagging toward the floor.
