Ararat Hotel

The rooms were a comfortable place to come back to after sightseeing, and they were nicely furnished and kept impeccably. I also found the staff attentive and friendly from arrival, always ready to help. The Ararat Hotel is right in the bustling centre of Yerevan, so it was easy to walk around the city streets and nearby cultural sites. The service and comfortable rooms made my visit to this beautiful city even better. I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting, and I can’t wait to come back. Thanks to the team for such warm hospitality.

Breakfast was very light and poor. On the good side, the hotel staff were nice. I was first given ordinary room 206, but at night there was a problem with the WC water. I called to ask them to fix it, and said I’d need to move if they couldn’t. The next morning the manager apologized and took me to a premium room at no extra charge. Thanks to the manager and the hotel staff.

Breakfast was okay, but it wasn't ready until 9am, which made early tour starts difficult. You can smell it cooking in the room, and there was also a sound of running water in the bathroom, which I think came from another room. Some guests had left food in the fridge, so they should check the fridges. Our tour booked this hotel for us. The location was pretty good, within walking distance of Republic Square and restaurants, but standard room #101 was tired. Outside light came through the curtains. The shower connection was broken, and the head pointed down, making it difficult for taller people. The bath and shower setup was slippery, and the tap was awkward to turn on. The sheets didn’t cover the bed, and the blankets were worn. Some towels were very thin and tore easily, although we did get fresh towels every day. We were given water on the first day and none after that. The cleaners didn’t clean behind the bathroom door, and during our four-night stay it would have been nice to get fresh bed linen.

The staff made us feel welcome and looked after us throughout the stay. Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed and kept immaculate. Being right in the centre of Yerevan made it easy to get out to the local culture, food and historical landmarks. I highly recommend the Ararat Hotel. It added to an unforgettable visit, and I’ll definitely come back. Kudos to the team for making the place so welcoming.
