The rooms had mold, broken walls, broken heaters, and other problems that weren't shown online. Reception was often empty, so getting help could feel hopeless. Even so, the worst part was how the older woman with ginger hair treated us. At breakfast one day, she wouldn't let us into the room to eat unless we paid, and made derogatory hand signs as if we wouldn't pay. It was extremely cold when we were there. The food was subpar, to put it mildly, and tasted like dog food, so we ate out on the other days. On our last day, we asked to check out and leave our things at reception while we looked around the city, then come back for them before going to the airport. She demanded money, and we didn't have enough change then. We said we'd pay when we returned, but when we came back she was screaming at us. She kept shouting and giving us airs, as if she were hallucinating. There hadn't been any disagreement about the arrangement, so her behavior shocked us. We didn't argue because it seemed pointless. We'd paid for everything and weren't staying for free, yet we were treated like livestock, without basic human decency. There also seemed to be some racism involved. This hotel is cheap, and if you're out all day it might look like a way to save money. But you deserve to be treated with dignity. Find somewhere else; this place was hell.

We were unable to cancel because the trip had been booked through a travel agency. The hotel was at the end of an alley, our room was the only one occupied, and there was no staff from 4pm. We spent some of the most terrifying days there, alone in the dark. Breakfast wasn't charged at all. On our last day we left our belongings behind, but when we called and contacted the hotel, they wouldn't return them or even answer our messages. This felt more like an animal shelter than a hotel. I don't recommend it.

The heater in our room didn't work, some light bulbs were missing, and on one day there was an electricity shortage, so we turned on just one light per room. Breakfast is only from 9-11 am. The bed was propped up on hollow blocks, and they might accuse you of breaking it and take your deposit. Make sure to tell them about anything already broken before you agree to stay. They took a $100 deposit in case we damaged something. During the stay, they made us feel as though we'd broken something because my four-year-old daughter was being playful. At checkout, they accused us of taking a hair dryer I'd never seen during our stay. I offered to let them check our luggage. They also complained about mud on the floor, which we hadn't intended to leave. If you stay here, apparently you should bring a broom, mop, and vacuum. The staff were rude, and the experience made our Armenia tour upsetting. This hotel doesn't deserve even one star; it deserves zero. ⚠️ Not recommended.

The hotel is close to central Yerevan, and the owners were happy to advise us about places to visit, prices, and banks. They were very friendly and ready to help. They can arrange some really nice tours around Armenia, which I recommend trying. They also provide a car from the airport, so I didn't have to deal with catching a taxi or figuring out the currency. I chose a double room, which came with a fridge, kettle, private bathroom, sink, toilet, and air conditioner. There was also a wardrobe, table, chair, and about six electrical sockets, I think. The room was very clean and cleaned every day. WiFi was great, including outside, where there are plenty of tables if you want to work. Downstairs on the first floor, there's a kitchen with tableware, microwave, and gas stove.

We were four families with kids. The staff were good, and breakfast wasn't bad either. The place is small and doesn't have much going on, but it served its purpose since it's in the town center. Parking was a bit tight, though manageable.
