Diamond Hotel

The shower in our room was noticeably cramped, and the staff’s behavior was rude. We paid extra for another bed but got one that was super stiff and wonky. When we asked for a proper mattress to go on top, the staff yelled at us. My recent stay was far from ideal and didn’t meet what I’d expect of a four-star hotel.

The rooms weren’t great, though we could manage for a couple of nights. One night, while we were asleep, a Russian couple came in through our door. Reception had rented out our room and handed them keys, which was incredibly unprofessional. At checkout, nobody offered to help with our luggage. The staff stayed downstairs scrolling on their phones and acting as if we weren’t there. Customer service in this country sucks.

The location is excellent, and the room is good. They clean it well every day. The shower cabin is small, and there’s no laundry service or room food service.

The staff are still nice, and the location is great if you want to wander around. It’s near the center, on one of the best streets, with almost all the good restaurants around it. I stayed here 6 or 7 years ago and liked it then. This time, though, opening the bathroom door made the whole room smell like a toilet. The odor in the bathroom was so intense that showering was really difficult. I think there may be a serious problem with the hotel sewage system. Breakfast was below expectations, so you’re better off eating outside.
