The room was clean and well equipped, with toothbrushes, robes, and vanity kits, and the hotel smelled nice throughout. Staff were lovely and helpful, spoke excellent English, and made check-in easy. Someone playing piano in the evening was a beautiful touch. But the bed was two singles pushed together, and I kept falling into the gap at night, so I slept badly. For £90, I'd also expect better than Nescafé instant coffee in the room. The restaurant was disappointing and expensive for what we got: over £50 for two people, with £19 pork ribs, about double elsewhere. The portions and quality didn't justify that price. The menu promised truffle fries, but they were standard, and the salad had so much whipping cream on it that it spoiled the flavour. I left hungry and wouldn't return to the restaurant.

The restaurant dinner was a disaster. The beef salad was disgusting, with whipped cream used as Roquefort Cream, and the ribs, beef salad, and mezze cost 25,000 AMD. We left extremely disappointed after our first meal in Yerevan. Dinner there was absurdly expensive, and I wouldn't eat at that restaurant again. The hotel itself was fine, nothing special. We had a classic room, so maybe a balcony room would have made the stay more enjoyable. The staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable, and the building's history is cool. Still, I would rather not have spent £150 on a bed and dinner here. I'd have preferred ibis for a budget stay or the Alexander for luxury.

The service was good, and the reception and dining room staff were very welcoming and pleasant. It's centrally located, close to everything. Our rooms were standard and clean, if not exceptional. We really enjoyed our stay.

The rooftop pool had stunning views across a city that's changing before your eyes, and the spa felt wonderfully private. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety, and our room was spotless and spacious. We got a warm welcome at check-in, too. It's a calm little oasis in the heart of Yerevan and great value for money. I'll definitely return.

Friendly staff, cosy rooms, and a delicious breakfast made this a wonderful hotel. The location is great, and there's also a bar, spa, gym, and more. Strongly recommend it when you're in Yerevan.
