Hostel Armena

The shared areas were well kept, and my room was clean and comfortable. I really liked the thoughtful touches and cozy feel throughout Armena Hostel. The people running it clearly care about their guests. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcome and at ease. The staff were kind, attentive, and always ready to help, and the relaxed, friendly atmosphere made it easy to meet other travelers and feel at home. I enjoyed every part of my stay and would highly recommend Armena Hostel. I’ll definitely return.

The person who runs Armena Hostel, Susan (Shushan), was the kindest and sweetest person I met in Armenia. She did everything she could to make us feel at home, and I won’t forget my stay there. I’m very grateful to Shushan for her hospitality. During my trip through Armenia, I stayed at this hostel in central Yerevan. It felt like home, with small, intimate rooms and clean, modern accommodation.

It’s okay for a stay. Just keep in mind it’s a hostel, with no Indian food and no individual rooms. The location is close to Republic Square and the shopping malls.

The map location is a bit confusing. I stayed one night, and it was the worst hostel I’ve ever been to. It was filthy and messy, and the bed linen smelled of sweat. There was dust in the rooms, hair on the pillowcase, and someone’s unfinished food on the table. It was noisy at night, so I couldn’t sleep properly. There was no breakfast in the morning. They charged me 6000 drams for a dorm bed, though now I see a different price. Shame on you, scammers. Treating someone of your own nationality this way is another level of disrespect. The only reason I didn’t cancel was that I’d booked late, and the owner offered a private room as compensation. That room was awful too, but it was the middle of the night and I had to sleep somewhere. The service, rooms, and atmosphere were horrible. Don’t ever book here.
