National by Stellar Hotels, Yerevan

We came back from Armenia to Dubai, and about a week later I realized I might have left my AirPods in the room. The hotel team searched carefully and kept replying whenever I contacted them, which I really appreciated. The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our group’s New Year visit in December. The room itself needs work, especially the bathroom. Each time we filled the bathtub, water flooded the whole bathroom. The bedsheets smelled unpleasant and had hair on them, which made us uncomfortable and was hard to deal with. The hotel is in the city center, and the staff’s support stood out. Better maintenance and cleanliness would make for a much better stay.

After we left almost immediately, the hotel still refused even a partial refund. I asked several times to speak with the manager, but nobody ever got back to me. My partner and I couldn’t stay in the room for more than two hours. It was filthy, poorly maintained, and nothing like the online description, so even one night was out of the question. I also accidentally left my earrings in the bathroom, and the hotel made no effort to return them. Either they don’t care about guests’ belongings or something more questionable is going on. I’ve never had a worse hotel experience. It felt like a scam, with zero hospitality, ethics, or professionalism. Save yourself the stress, money, and disappointment. Do NOT stay here under any circumstances.

After housekeeping cleaned my room, my phone charger was missing. I’d left the room briefly while still staying there, and I’m 100% sure the charger had been there before. When I reported it, the hotel denied everything and treated me rudely. They even suggested I was lying. There was no investigation, responsibility, or compensation. The manager, Sirun, was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I felt robbed and ignored. That behavior is unacceptable in hospitality, and if something goes missing, this hotel won’t help you. Be very careful with your belongings.

👎👎A connecting door led from my room into another guest’s room, and no one told me in advance. I’ve stayed at many hotels, but this was a first. It felt neither private nor safe. When I asked to move rooms, they just said it was “not possible.” Guest comfort doesn’t seem to be a priority here.👎
