Regard Hotel Yerevan

Good hotel for its ranking, with nice staff and a location close to Republic Square.

I stayed for 3 nights, and Zara welcomed me warmly and made sure my room was ready. She also checked that I was comfortable and showed me where to find nearby restaurants that matched my taste. The service was perfect.

There were only towels and other supplies for one person when we arrived, although we had booked for two. The room was noisy, and the bathroom offered almost no privacy: its milky glass door was right beside the bed, with a large gap between the door and wall. One evening we came back and found that the cover blanket had been taken away. Since it wasn’t very warm, I asked for a replacement or an extra blanket. At first, they said housekeeping had gone and I should have asked in the morning, even though the cover blanket was still there that morning. The staff member also said she couldn’t turn up the heating, and didn’t suggest another solution. I explained that I’d be going to bed cold. Eventually she offered a blanket from a vacant room, but said it would take half an hour. That was fine, so I went back upstairs. More than an hour later, at a quarter to 11pm, it still hadn’t arrived. I had to change out of my pajamas, go back to reception, and ask for it again. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the best experience.

The hotel is modern and convenient, with excellent facilities and a great location. Breakfast was very good, with a variety of hot dishes. The staff were welcoming and professional, and the guys at reception went out of their way to arrange the return of an item we’d forgotten in the room. Many thanks. I’ll definitely choose this hotel again when I come back to Yerevan.
