Shirak hotel

We were very happy with our three nights at Shirak Hotel and would definitely return. It’s close to the city center, Republic Square, and plenty of cafes and restaurants. Our room was clean and comfortable, check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was good, with a cozy dining area. The shower pressure was low, and a currency exchange machine would have been useful.

I planned to stay four nights, but left after just one because the conditions were so appalling. Some staff were polite and cooperative, though other employees were rude and insolent. The room was very cold on a chilly night because the heating didn't work properly. It was gloomy and poorly lit, and although we were on the eighth floor, the window faced a tall building and a ruin. The carpet was visibly dirty, and the breakfast forks and spoons were stained and clearly unclean. The toilet leaked, and the windows wouldn't shut all the way, which felt like a serious safety hazard, especially for children. Breakfast had little variety and unacceptable quality. With all these problems, the price was extremely overpriced and unjustified. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. I hope management addresses these fundamental issues.

At least the location is good, but the rooms feel old and dirty, and the vibes are bad. The WiFi only works in the lobby, not in the room.

The WiFi in our room was so weak that we couldn't connect properly. While we were settling in, the front desk staff were rude and unprofessional. A hotel should welcome guests respectfully, but that wasn't our experience, which was very disappointing. They also showed racist behavior toward Iranians. That was extremely disappointing and unacceptable.
