Welcome City Center Apartments

Republic Square is very close, so it was easy to explore central Yerevan on foot and get to nearby restaurants, cafes, and attractions. That location was one of the best things about Welcome Yerevan Apartments Hotel. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and I felt at home throughout my visit to Yerevan, Armenia. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever I needed something. I had a wonderful stay, would highly recommend the hotel, and would definitely choose it again.

There’s no concierge, which can be a bit challenging, though it works out if your flights are at reasonable times. They communicated well on WhatsApp and arranged rides to and from the airport. The apartment had the amenities I needed, including a washing machine, iron, and hair dryers. I stayed at the apartments twice in two different rooms. The first room was better than the second, but I was comfortable enough for a place to sleep. It’s just a few minutes’ walk from Republic Square, with cafes and restaurants all around. Yerevan is walkable and safe, and this place suited what I needed.

The apartment had the essentials I needed: kitchen gear, a washing machine, microwave, free internet, and toiletries. It was clean and comfortable. Republic Square and the main sights are only a few minutes away on foot, with cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, and transport close by. Exploring Yerevan from here is easy.

The location is remarkable, just minutes from Republic Square, and the host was amazing. She tried hard to accommodate me and kindly offered free cancellation, so I stayed one night instead of two. She doesn’t speak much English, but her daughter speaks it very well. I’m giving three stars mainly because of the value for money. I stayed in six hotels during my 10 days in Armenia, and this was unfortunately the bottom of my list. The high reviews honestly fooled me. The furniture in our room was quite old, the WiFi router was hanging off the wall, and the electrical appliances were old too. Other hotels were even cheaper, with better locations and rooms that were 10 times better, so I’m judging this against the other options. I may have been given a bad room. I sensed that when I was canceling, and it was next to the cleaners’ room with a view of empty land. It was clean, but I never felt comfortable. It felt like staying in someone’s home.
