We'd planned to stay one night at la Casa Amancay, but ended up spending three. It feels warm and homey, and Sebastian is a lovely person and a great guide. Hearing him talk about the area was the best way to get to know it, and staying here also supports local tourism. Highly recommend!!
The peaceful, friendly atmosphere made me feel welcome right away. Seba greeted me warmly, and there are comfortable rooms, plenty of space to unwind, and a library of books on local history. Breakfast comes with homemade bread. I hope more hostels share the history of their area like this one does. Thank you, highly recommended!
The garden at Casa Amancay was such a nice place to unwind, and the house itself is beautiful. Sebastián welcomed me warmly and was a pleasure to spend time with. He knows a lot about the area and was happy to share it, offer suggestions for Amaicha and beyond, and help however he could. He even drove me to the neighboring village at the end, which made continuing my trip much easier. My two days in Amaicha were a real highlight. Thank you, I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.
Seba, the owner, is a real star. This is a lovely place to spend a few days in amaicha, and I'd definitely come back.
The town feels magical wherever you go, and this beautiful house is a lovely base for enjoying nature, unwinding, and learning about our history. It has everything you need, and breakfast is a 10/10. Sebas, the owner, is always glad to suggest things to explore, with plenty of activities nearby.
