Beautiful.

Reta is a great place to switch off, with broad beaches and few people. The accommodation's best feature is where it sits: on top of a dune, with ocean views and direct access to the beach, so you don't need a car to get there. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, but four people feel cramped. There's just one bedroom with a double bed, while the other two guests sleep on a sofa bed that opens in the middle of the living room, leaving little room to move around. There's also only one bathroom, downstairs, so a group of three or four has to share it. Anyone sleeping upstairs has to go down to use it, taking a rather noisy wooden staircase that can be a nuisance at night. It would be helpful if each apartment came with beach chairs and umbrellas, since guests currently have to bring their own. A water dispenser in each room should also be included in the price, because the tap water in Reta isn't potable and guests have to buy water elsewhere. Even with those things to improve, we had an extremely positive stay. The management staff were helpful, and the beach bar served delicious food like calamari, sandwiches, smoothies, and drinks at very reasonable prices. I'd definitely return.

The apartment worked really well for us: it was all on the ground floor, with two bedrooms, a bed in the living room, two bathrooms, and a kitchen stocked for cooking. There are shared grills in good shape, and they also sell water and charcoal. We barely used the outdoor pools since we spent most of our time at the beach. On colder days, we went to the heated pool afterward to unwind. The spa was lovely too, though a few things could use maintenance without taking away from the experience. Getting around with my mother’s walker was harder than I’d expected. The ramp up to the resort is very steep, and reaching the beach is difficult too. I hadn’t seen that mentioned anywhere. But the staff made such a difference. My mother uses a walker, so the beach seemed like it would be tough for her, and the team offered to drive her right onto the sand in the owner’s or maintenance man’s truck. From housekeeping to reception and maintenance, everyone checked whether she needed anything or was ready to head down. When we wanted to return after a few hours, we let the beach club know and they brought her back to our room. Every person we dealt with was so empathetic and focused on making guests comfortable. We asked a thousand questions and placed a thousand orders, and they were kind every time. I’m giving it five stars, but it deserves a hundred. I came with my mother hoping for a relaxing break, and the whole experience went beyond what I expected. Thanks to everyone there for making our vacation so special.

The little beach bar was a great place to stop for good food and a view, and the staff were all really helpful. The views from the beachfront are unbeatable, with the sea right there and a nice coastal breeze. If you love being by the water, this is a great experience. I’ll be back.
